ABOUT

Kathy Lummis

Physiotherapist

Having navigated her own family and health challenges, Kathy understands that wellbeing is about more than treating pain. This experience inspired the holistic philosophy behind The Essential Armoury, integrating movement, education and sustainable lifestyle strategies alongside evidence-based physiotherapy.

Kathy has worked in tertiary and rural hospitals, private practice and as a physiotherapist for the Australian Defence Force. She also delivers Sports Medicine Australia Level 1 Sports Trainer and sports strapping courses, together with workshops in women's health and pelvic floor physiotherapy.

My goal is simple - to help you understand your body, move with confidence and get back to doing what matters most to you.

Kathy graduated as a physiotherapist in 2007 and has spent almost two decades helping people of all ages recover from injury, overcome pain and move with confidence. Based in Sale, Gippsland, she combines evidence-based physiotherapy with a whole-person approach to help clients achieve lasting results.

While Kathy enjoys treating a wide range of conditions, her particular interests include women's health, pelvic floor rehabilitation, pregnancy and postnatal care, sports injuries and exercise-based rehabilitation. She is passionate about empowering people with the knowledge and confidence to take an active role in their recovery.

Before becoming a physiotherapist, Kathy served in the Royal Australian Air Force. She also holds qualifications in Sport Science and has completed further training in gut health, yoga, Pilates and pelvic floor rehabilitation.
